Day 1 - Hello, Sri Lanka! (Colombo Airport – Kandy)
Sri Lanka is a beautiful tropical country famous for its rich vegetation, unique flora and fauna and serene beaches. Start your five-day vacation with fun and frolic and be prepared to have the time of your lives. On your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport at Colombo, a TravelOcat representative will be present to welcome you and ensure your smooth transfer to the hotel.On your way to Kandy have a soulful experience at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you meet various once abandoned elephants who are now very well taken care off. Spend quality time feeding and bathing these gentle giants and take a stroll by their side and experience nature in all its glory.The day ends with a scrumptious dinner at a local restaurant, and you head to your hotel for a good night’s sleep in Kandy.
Day 2 - Discovering Kandy (Kandy – Exploring Last Kingdom)
Begin your day with an appetizing breakfast at your hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure. You can choose to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage again or spend time exploring the city.
The Royal Palace of Kandy, National Rail Museum and the Kandy Lake are some of the sites that you can stop by. Take a stopover at a Gem Museum and find yourself admiring the variety of precious stones, from rubies to emeralds, to sapphires in varied shades, they have it all. Later during the evening enjoy a well-planned and talent-rich cultural show. Be mesmerized by various dance and song performances and be astounded by the fire walk, flame throwing and fire swallowing acts.
End the day with a luscious dinner at a local restaurant and spend the night in the comfort of your hotel room in Kandy.
Day 3 - Charming Colombo (Colombo – vibrant city)
This vacation will be incomplete without dedicating a day’s sightseeing in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Known for its beautiful blend of colonial and contemporary architecture, Colombo is a delightful sight.
Visit the famous Galle Face Green and explore the Fort District; stop by and admire the Twin World Trade Centre Towers and learn about the city’s culture and history at the National Museum – there is never a dull moment here.
Save the evening for shopping and proceed to the Majestic City, Beverly Street, Odel and House of Fashion for competitively priced shopping. The day ends with a palatable dinner at your hotel. Stay the night at Colombo.
Day 4 - Home Calling! (Departure – after Breakfast)
This day marks the end of your magical vacation to the Lankan Island. Indulge in a delectable breakfast at your hotel and head to the airport for your flight back home.
